TITLES BEGINNING WITH "The"

The hymnal convention that recognizes an initial "The" when alphabetizing has always driven this writer crazy given it is out of step with virtually ever other system of English indexing.  It further makes the "T" entries voluminous to the point of unmanageability given the many other common words that begin with "T," including "There," "Though," "This," and "To."  As a compromise, hymns beginning with "The" are herein broken out into their own category.  Once available, click on the drop-down menu above to look at renewal lyrics for particular songs with a title beginning with "D."
